Spiritual Engineering: About

The blogs on these pages represent some of my thoughts and the work I have done after my retirement in 2015.

I thought that after working continuously from 1972 after graduation, to 2015 means I have something that I can give back to the community.

The title “Spiritual Engineering” was inspired by my daughter Assmaah Helal.

The English text of the blogs are reviewed and edited by my wife, Mona Helal (Translator) before publishing.

I hope that this is of benefit to anyone who reads it.

With the Muslim’s holy month of #Ramadan is approaching in this hard time of isolations and lockdowns due to the #COVID-19 Pandemic, I thought to share this design with everyone.

After retirement in 2015 I went back to my hobby fiddling with electronics. One of the projects I started soon after was done for my own use during my optional/extra prayers (Reading the Qur’an Pages Electronically ©). This design would have been extremely useful during Ramadan while Muslims are doing their optional/extra prayers at home due to the restrictions on movements and the closure of Mosques.

My daughter @Assmaah Helal gave the title “Spiritual Engineering” to this project and I thought this title reflected my career as an Engineer. This encouraged me to start writing blogs on Spiritual Engineering reflecting on my experiences and my work on projects during retirement.

The English text of the blogs were checked/edited by wife @Mona Helal.

I hope that this is of benefit to anyone who reads it.

I am thankful to Allah (God) for many years of working in a field that I liked and enjoyed. I was also fortunate to be able to volunteer to serve the community.
